Infrastructure Alternatives has a full-time opening for a certified operator at the City of Grant, Michigan Wastewater Treatment Facility. This is an opportunity for a relatively new operator to advance and run their own facility. The position involves the operation and maintenance of an SBR activated sludge wastewater treatment plant.
Duties will include: sample collection and laboratory analysis, control of chemical, biological and mechanical processes, tending and maintaining process equipment, maintaining records and reporting, and general housekeeping and grounds maintenance. The successful candidate will have experience that enables them to work independently, and maturity that is demonstrated through a professional attitude toward clients and the public. Must be willing to work overtime, holidays and weekends and be on-call 24 hours a day for emergencies on a rotating basis. Candidates must also be able to climb steps, write in logs and reports, bend, stoop, lift and pull (up to 50 lbs.).
The ideal candidate will possess a Michigan Class C Level Wastewater Treatment License, or will have a Class D, L1 or L2 certification with hands-on lab experience. Selected candidate must live within 30 minutes driving distance to the City of Grant, Michigan.
